The Promised Land is definitely Divinely Inspired! A Hidden Gem! Everything is delicious and some of the best BBQ in Alabama! We had the ribs, chicken and pork - outstanding! The Banana Pudding is the best we’ve ever had, too! While we were there, they had lots of customers and people had driven over 20 miles, just to pick up some dinner for home! A must stop in Woodstock! **Tip: Order ahead for faster service! CASH ONLY!

Good BBQ, love their homemade desserts, super friendly. It's a small, walk up and order building and the only seating is a few covered, outdoor picnic tables. Still a great place to eat outside on a pretty day or stop and pick up dinner on the way home.

Promise Land has the best bar-b-que. I've ever had. I got a jumbo bar-b-que and was just going to eat half and the other half for dinner tonight. I ended up eating all of it. We definitely be back.

It is just drop, by an order from window has an area that you can kick back and eat there they have great BBQ, you can ride by and smeii the meat smoking out back thats enough to tempt anyone to pull in and try a bite! It's nice to have places like Promise Land BBQ a personal small businesses and over the years watch their clientele grow! Wish them the best and Boo Coo more years ahead !

Everything I've ever ordered was great, and half the price of Full Moon in McCalla. The people are always friendly and even if you just come by once a month or two they remember you. Lg BBQ sandwich, onion rings and jalapeno poppers are one of my favorite things to order. So good that I need to stop ordering that so I can try something else, but when something works for ya it's hard to get away from it.

Great BBQ and great people. The meat is tender and has great flavor, the sauce is tangy and not too sweet, and the French fries are hot and fresh. Promise Land is always consistently good.

I absolutely love this place not only is the food the best the lady that makes homemade ranch dressing by the way it is delicious I don't like ranch but hers is good they are the nicest folks who are doing what they do best feed the hungry and you always leave with a smile

I got the 3 bone rib plate, wish I'd gotten 4!! It was delicious!! My husband got the large bbq sandwich, said it was good too! I definitely will buy ribs there again!!!

Great service, but the pulled pork I had was kinda blah. I'll go back to try the ribs, but they had better amaze me out that'll be my last visit. - I'll update my review at that time.

The best n b q around an great people also..

Ribs were probably good 11:00 this morning, and the BBQ sandwich was probably good at 2 PM it was 5:45 PM when I stopped in. Oh the okra was good.

I was told that this was the BBQ place to eat so we were excited to go. We (only 2 of us) ordered our food and about 35 minutes later we got it and this was the biggest disappointment. We ate about a quarter of it and threw the rest away.

Chicken BBQ sandwiches are amazing and the banana pudding is my favorite!!

The large beef barbecue sandwich was the bomb. Will definitely be visiting again so I can try other items. Customer service was top notch too.

The Food is off the chart good and the amount of food you get for the price is phenomenal. Best selection in the state. I wish i could add more stars.

The ribs are awesome. Its really the only place around to get anything. Large menu so plenty of things to chose from. A must visit mom and pop kinda place. If you find yourself down that way, stop by and get a rib plate. You'll be happy that you did.

Been coming here 13 years.. food has always been delicious and the staff has always been friendly.. my kids love and will only eat the pulled pork sandwiches or plates.. with beans and fries.. it's the most tender I've ever had

I love this place. I love their BarBQue, ribs, sides and deserts. Their customer service is great. Never had a bad experience here.

It was fantastic.

I've been going to this BBQ place for about 3 years now and have always had fantastic food. They always get my order right and the staff is always extremely friendly. They do generally only take cash but there has been a few times where I got to swipe a card. I normally get a rack of ribs with the sauce on the side, (That way you can control the sauce to meat ratio) and have never been disappointed. They are always seasoned well and are hot off the grill. The prices seem to be on par for what you would pay at a normal BBQ location so no complaints there either.

When we first saw this place we were very iffy about eating their only because it was a really small little hole in the wall I mean there's not even a way to go inside but don't let their looks fool you they have some of the best barbecue I've ever had in my life
